SPECIAL AWARD: This pair accomplished an unbelievable feat at our GHF/CGF Fall Show: Trainer/breeder Laura Wharton-Mero and her 5-year-old Trakehner gelding, Fivestar (Justiz/Finity/Caprimond), received five (5!) Training Level scores between 74.000% and 78%, performed both days before two different judges--and she rode the four Training Level tests. We believe this extraordinary achievement should be recognized because it does not qualify for the GHF Cup award which requires scores at First Level and above. So Laura will receive a special GHF Medal and our viewers get to see this lovely picture taken by Coleen Carey-Mitchell. (Scroll down to see complete show results.)

PONY POWER--Misty Hamilton and her 10-year-old Westfalen gelding Nintendo, were the winners of the Through Connection high-scoring pony sash, given by Dr. Nancy Ferebee who stands German Sport Pony stallions at her farm in Alphareetta, GA. Misty's Nintendo achieved a high score of 67.857% for their Training Level Test 2 ride. Misty had fierce competition from Cassidy Nutter and her pony, Black Pearl, whose 66.000% ride at First Level Test 1 brings admiration and expectations for the future. These will be two competitors to watch.

GOLD MEDAL RIDE: Amanda Persons and Neon have just finished their Grand Prix ride on Sunday--the ride that earned Amanda her USDF Gold Medal. Neon looks like he doesn't know it yet! Amanda competed Neon, a 12-year-old Dutch gelding, for the first time this summer at the Grand Prix Level. They 62.708% score from judge Elizabeth Lewis. Neon is owned by Barbara Shannon who also owns the farm where Amanda teaches and trains in Alpharetta, GA. Their performance was at The Good Horseman/Collecting Gaits Farm Fall Dressage Show Sept. 22-23 at the Georgia International Horse Park. Amanda knew that she won her medal even before she left the arena since she could see her score on the EquiVu Electronic Scoreboard, sponsored by Shereen and Jeff Fuqua of Collecting Gaits Farm which is much appreciated.
