ADVANCED YOUNG RIDER WINS!--Kristen Becker, 20, of Lemont, IL, was the winner of the Troxel $200 cash award for being the best-looking FEI-Level rider in a safety hat. Judges Axel Steiner, FEI "O," and Marianne Ludwig, USEF "S," made the selection. Kristen with her horse, Ramses, is in Region 3 to ride with FEI-level trainer Roel Theunissen. Karen McGoldrick's green ribbons (green for Courtney King-Dye's farm colors) for helmet awareness were seen throughout the show grounds. Many ASTM helmets were seen in both the warm-up and competition rings. Scores can be found on the show results page. (staff photo)
